Key responsibilities:
- Respond to telephone, email, and customer enquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
- Manage the distribution and handling of all incoming and outgoing mail, freight, and deliveries.
- Accurately process and record financial transactions in accordance with company procedures.
- Provide general administrative support and assist team members as required.
- Oversee the upkeep of office supplies, equipment, and ensure cleanliness of office and meeting areas.
- Maintain a sound understanding of operations to provide accurate and relevant information.
- Comply with the Alice Springs Drug and Alcohol Management Program.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant legislative, regulatory, and organisational compliance requirements.
- Assist in the processing and issuance of permits and applications.
- Support contractor management, including sign-ins and induction procedures.
- Uphold high standards of compliance, safety, customer service, and alignment with company values.
- Proactively identify and contribute to opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Promote and maintain safe working practices in accordance with workplace safety standards.
- Demonstrate active engagement and collaboration as a contributing team member.
- Computer literacy, particularly with skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Friendly disposition, well-mannered and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and meet deadlines.
- Strong degree of common sense with the ability to take a balanced view between customer expectations and business obligations.
- Eligibility to hold a Security Identification Card
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical (including a drug and alcohol test).
- Previous experience in working in an active office environment.
- Hold an Australian drivers’ licence or have ability to obtain one.
