About the Role
The Learning on Country Program (LoCP) is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Business and Finance Services Coordinator to join our team on a temporary basis. This position will provide vital business, procurement, and budget support to ensure the ongoing effectiveness and compliance of program operations during a key transition period.
Key Responsibilities
Working under the direction of the Manager, you will:
- Coordinate the Program budget, including invoice processing, milestone payments, and reporting.
- Manage purchasing and acquisition processes (including generation of purchase orders).
- Support local coordinators, school principals, and business managers in the compliance and oversight of annual program budgets.
- Coordinate contract management activities including documentation, expenditure tracking, subcontractor performance and issue resolution.
- Lead procurement efforts including drafting, evaluating, and negotiating contracts with contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Manage the financial and logistical delivery of events and activities.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with internal and external partners to support effective program delivery.
- Carry out other related duties as required, in line with classification and skill set.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Financial Management, or a minimum of 3 years' experience in program/business/financial/project/contract management.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining practical business systems and supporting strategic operations.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities.
- High-level interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholders including Traditional Owners and partner agencies.
- Advanced written communication skills for professional correspondence and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant business systems.
- A current NT C Class Driver's Licence and willingness to travel remotely via 4WD or light aircraft as needed.
- A valid Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance).
- Flexible part-time hours: 4 days per week (Mon–Thurs, 9am–4pm)
