About the Role
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on heavy mobile mining equipment (HME).
- Service, diagnose, and repair haul trucks, dozers, loaders, graders, excavators, and ancillary equipment.
- Perform inspections, isolations, and quality checks on tooling, lifting gear, and workshop equipment.
- Conduct auto-electrical repairs (where qualified).
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and OEM contractors to maintain reliability.
- Complete shutdown and breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Accurately record maintenance tasks, defects, and parts usage in SAP.
- Hand over equipment and tasks effectively between shifts.
- Trade-qualified Heavy Equipment or Diesel Mechanic / Fitter .
- Previous mining or heavy earthmoving experience highly regarded.
- ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence (manual or higher).
- HRWL / High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, Elevated Work Platform).
- Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets.
- HVIA Certificate (HLTCPR201A Perform CPR).
- Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and site training.
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- FIFO 8:6 or 7:7 rosters from WA hubs (flights, meals & camp provided).
- Upskilling across modern fleets and advanced maintenance systems.
