Responsibilities:
- Development, implementation, and revision of the Workers Compensation Strategic plan.
- Development of innovative mental injury return to work strategies, particularly relating to face-to-face service, with the aim of improving early Return to Work outcomes for workers and employers impacted by mental injury claims.
- Collaborate with our Learning and Development team to build an environment of learning and support continuous improvement for handling and awareness of mental health risk.
- Provide specialist advice to leaders and claims staff that positively influences and drives optimal claims management practices and outcomes.
- Analyse business team performance trends, risks, projections, and implement remedial action to resolve issues where required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working in the mental health field such as consulting, nursing, social worker or equivalent. Exposure to the workers compensation industry would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in managing risk and optimising support where risk exists in a mental health context.
- Knowledge of general business and administrative practices and managing cost effective business activities.
- Experience in managing performance through qualitative and quantitative metrics.
- Leadership and motivational ability.
- Experience in recruiting, developing, and retaining individuals.
Desired:
- Workers' compensation and/or claims management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of specialised return to work or technical claims services.
