We are currently recruiting an experienced and organised Property Officer to join our growing team in Darwin, NT, supporting the management of residential and commercial properties across seven regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage lease agreements using approved templates
  • Coordinate bonds, inspections, and property documentation
  • Support maintenance requests, inspections, contractor attendance, and follow-up actions
  • Coordinate office accommodation, staff housing, and property allocation activities
  • Liaise with landlords, contractors, and service providers to organise repairs and maintenance works
  • Monitor outstanding property issues and escalate risks or delays when required
  • Coordinate planned maintenance programs using building inspection reports
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting, and property management systems
  • Assist with improving property procedures, systems, and maintenance schedules
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and organisational policies
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in ongoing learning, development, and performance review processes
  • Maintain workplace health and safety standards and report hazards or incidents promptly
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Qualifications in Property Management within residential and/or commercial environments
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential or commercial property management
  • Experience in housing or property management, including knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act 1999, or the ability to quickly gain this knowledge
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and apply leases, contracts, and legislation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and property management systems
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to remote locations, including travel by 4WD and light aircraft
  • Understanding of, and interest in, the lived experiences of Aboriginal people within the region
  • Experience managing small projects in remote locations
  • Experience coordinating maintenance or property-related projects in remote communities
