Responsibilities:
- Conduct face-to-face visits with injured workers, employers, and health providers to support early and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
- Educate stakeholders on the return-to-work process, legislative requirements, claims decisions, and the benefits of early intervention.
- Promote use of specialist services and support tools to help workers achieve recovery goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support timely claim determinations and consistent case management.
- Attend medical reviews to advocate for effective recovery strategies.
- Monitor and manage medical and related costs to support scheme sustainability.
- Develop and monitor Return to Work Plans by coordinating stakeholders and tracking progress.
- Ensure accurate, evidence-based documentation across all claims.
- Guide employers and workers through workers’ compensation documentation, translating technical requirements into plain language.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
Essential:
- Comprehensive understanding of the Return-to-Work legislation as amended and other Legislative requirements.
- Knowledge of the Workers' compensation industry, business requirements and administrative practices, policies procedures and guidelines.
- Experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team, coordinating & chairing meetings and experience developing Return to Work
- plans using SMART principles.
- Current Driver’s License.
- Workers Compensation and/ or Claims Management experience
Desired:
- Experience Developing Return-to-Work plans using S.M.A.R.T principles
- Certificate of Personal Injury Management or other industry specific qualifications.
- Appropriate professional registration relevant to an Allied Health discipline.
