Goal Indigenous Services are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Trades Assistant in WA. This position will interact with other Trade Assistants, Riggers, Scaffolders, Crane Operators, Boilermakers, Welders, Leading Hands, Team Leaders, other workers, Supervisors, Site Manager, Project Manager, and site visitors on a daily basis.


Key Responsibilities:
• Assist qualified Trades People in the process of carrying out their daily tasks as required/instructed.
• General labour, housekeeping, and cleaning of the work site.
• Setup and pack-up of tools & equipment at job fronts, at commencement/completion of projects or daily as required.
• Sentry duties – Confined space, work at heights or similar
• Operate equipment as required – Forklift, EWP or similar for which the appropriate license/s are held.
• Perform additional duties within scope and experiences as and when required.


Skills & Experience:
• Experience in tank building industry.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Confined space entry ticket.
• Working at Heights ticket.
• High risk work with Forklift/Telehandlers Operating licence.
• Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Rigging License


Requirements:
• A strong commitment to safety and willingness to follow safety procedures.
• Have a C Class Car License
• General WHS Induction for Construction (White Card, Blue Card)
• RTO Work at Heights RIIWHS204E
• RTO CS – Confined Space Enter & Work RIIWHS202E
• Able to communicate effectively within your team, and with other staff.
• Trained and able to use both construction manual and electrical/power operated hand tools e.g., drill, grinder etc.
• Work harmoniously with others towards shared objectives.
• Ability to respond to a changing work environment.
